Monster Hunter Dos (also known as Monster Hunter 2) is an action role-playing game developed and published by Capcom. It the second core installment in the Monster Hunter franchise, and was released in Japan only on February 16, 2006 for the PlayStation 2. The game featured new additions such as a day-night cycle, inclusion of seasons, new monsters and new weapon types that would eventually become mainstays such as the Long Sword and Hunting Horn.
